GRAVELANCHE

Sports Garage Cycling’s seasonal gravel community celebration

OCTOBER 12, 2024

Gravelanche launched in early 2017; something to take the edge while we waited for the days to get longer. This LBS* event now happens each spring and fall. Still free and grassroots, Gravelanche is a community celebration with a ride for every skill level...

Spirited and challenging – longer and faster, but not a bike race. At least two regroup points, but this is NOT a no-drop ride. This is the ride to test your metal and ride with super nice, super fast folks.

Tempo and solid – shorter than the “A” ride, but not for slouching. At least two regroup points. A no-drop ride if maintaining a 15 - 16 mph pace. Can spontaneously break into “B+” and “B”.

Casual and consistent – less climbing than the A or B routes. Beginner friendly ride at 13-14 mph. A no-drop ride. A truly welcoming place to join your first gravel group experience.

One part serious group ride, two parts parking lot party.
